Course Description
This course is designed to help Chinese studies majors in their junior years fulfill their fieldwork studies requirement. There will be in-class discussions and tutorial activities as well as lectures on fieldwork in China by taking Hong Kong as the study place. Investigating Hong Kong’s mixed cultures is to provide students with artistic-aesthetic learning of a hybrid society in China like Hong Kong. The class will be conducted in English (supplemented with Chinese terms to accommodate students’ language proficiency).
