黎晨教授为香港中文大学中国研究中心副教授及副主任、刘佐德全球经济及金融研究所研究员（礼任）、政务与政策科学学院副教授（礼任）、香港中文大学（深圳）前海国际事务研究院非常驻研究员。他于北京大学获法学（国际政治经济学）和经济学双学士，此后于剑桥大学获得发展研究哲学硕士和哲学博士学位。他的主要研究和教学领域包括国际政治经济、中国政治经济、发展政策和商业环境，涉及包括中国国有企业改革、金融治理、政企关系以及产业与区域发展政策在内的广泛议题。他经常接受国际和本地媒体的访问，其观点广泛见于《财富》、《华尔街日报》、《经济学家》、《消息报》（俄罗斯）、《联合早报》（新加坡）和《南华早报》等国际主流媒体。他定期为《中国日报》撰写评论文章。
