We are pleased to announce the Greater Bay Area (GBA) Research Initiative at the Centre for China Studies, led by Prof LI Chen and Prof Tim SUMMERS, has been included in the ‘Igniting New Quality Productive Forces: CUHK’s Research Impact in the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area’ Report, commissioned by CUHK and independently produced by Elsevier, a leading information and data analytics firm. Elsevier’s report is the first assessment of the GBA research landscape conducted by a major scientific publisher since the central government outlined strategic goals in 2019 to develop the region as a global innovation and technology hub. Prof. Li Chen was invited to serve as a panellist at the report launch event held at CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute on 20 May 2024.
